Through the artist’s singing, the sound installation symbolically revives the silenced church organ. The temple´s nave serves as a skeleton that carries the sound, just like in the act of singing: the human chest moves, the lungs expand, a sound is released and the voice creates a vibrating image in the air.

The author focuses on visualization of the ground plans of medieval cathedrals in non-traditional spaces. The ephemeral drawing of the ground plan of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome in the meadow above the Beluj village is a representation of one of the greatest sacral buildings in the world.

The installation is based on the results of an interactive event that the wanderers took part in during the day. Based on the moments captured during the journey, the artist creates an  artwork that she transforms into a shared memory of the participants.

Martin Majlo Štefánik (SK): ALMANACH

(Concert)

The backbone of the concert evening is the premiere of a composition by the young Slovak composer Martin Majl Štefánik – Almanach Suite. The composition is complemented by meadow songs interpreted by sisters Dajana Margétová and Dominika Margétová.

The musical artwork uses folk instruments designed for period interpretation. Using a variety of compositional techniques and well-adopted technique of instrument-playing, the author defines not only our past but also our future.
