From June 10 to 14, 2024, Monika Deset Škojcová, project manager of the Into the Miracles festival, presented the festival’s achievements and methodology at the Results and Sustainability of Cultural Programs and Projects event in Romania. The gathering brought together cultural operators, project managers, and representatives from various EEA Grants-funded initiatives across Europe.
In her presentation, Monika showcased how Into the Miracles uniquely integrated contemporary art with the Slovak countryside, creating an 80-kilometer cultural journey between Dudince and Bátovce. Featuring 82 site-specific artworks by over 90 artists from six countries, the festival highlighted the potential of art to foster deeper connections between people, nature, and local communities.
Monika shared insights into the festival’s innovative approach, including collaboration with local stakeholders, and implementation of sustainable practices. She also detailed the festival’s impact on regional visibility, community engagement.
Attendees praised the festival’s innovative model and its success in bringing contemporary art to rural areas, fostering inclusivity, and promoting environmental awareness. The event provided an excellent platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration, further amplifying the outcomes of Into the Miracles and its contribution to sustainable cultural innovation across Europe.
