Pôtoň theatre and Cultural centre from Slovakia invites young people between 18 and 30 for a three-week adventure during the preparation process and the realization of the international arts festival Into the Miracles.

Since 2019, Pôtoň has been developing a new model for an arts festival, and the work is finally coming to fruition. In collaboration with partners from Norway, Liechtenstein, and Iceland, Pôtoň has devised an event featuring more than 35 artworks on a 70-kilometre route between the town of Dudince and the village of Bátovce. The date of the festival Into the Miracles is July 1-4, 2023. Into the Miracles will be a unique event, the concept of which has no equivalent in Europe.

The festival is a production-intensive project, and the organizer could use every helping hand it can get. And a leg, too, because there will be a lot of walking. As part of this adrenaline-fuelled event, you will expand your limits, gain valuable skills and experiences and make new friends.

If you are 18 to 30 years old, have no plans between June 18 and July 9, 2023, and want to be a part of something truly extraordinary, don’t hesitate to apply.

You will be part of about thirty volunteers from Slovakia and neighbouring countries (CZ, PL, UA) who will work in small teams under the guidance of experienced leaders to ensure the smooth running of the festival in the key festival locations of Dudince, Sebechleby, Baďan and Bátovce on the border between the regions of Nitra and Banská Bystrica.

At the beginning of the internship, your tasks will include mainly preparatory work when installing the artwork on the route and marking the festival route. During the festival, your job will be registering spectators, communicating with them, preparing breakfast in the tent cities, distributing refreshments and drinks to spectators, the artistic and organizational team, and assisting with performances and concerts. After the festival, your job will be mainly dismantling the artwork and the tent cities.

Food and accommodation will be provided by Pôtoň theatre throughout the volunteering residency. Please expect cottage-type accommodation. Also, please count on the possibility of camping for some nights. The reimbursement of your travel costs is a matter of course. You will also get a small allowance of 6 € per day.

The deadline for application is April 10th, 2023. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
